dare to be different

“Our doubts are our traitors, and make us loose the good we often might win, by fearing to attempt”.

You don’t belong to the crowd. You are not here to be ignored or avoided. Nobody ever gets noticed in the crowd. Until you stand out you can never be a standard. The people who become references in life are those who dared to stand out. Don’t be afraid to be different.

To be different means to separate yourself  from the crowd. To follow the crowd is to remain uncelebrated. Don’t be afraid to attempt new things. Don’t be afraid to take risks. Learn to take advantage of your favourable qualities and skills (both known and unknown). Until you stand out you will never discover some of your abilities. No one can give you recognition or reward you in the crowd. Stand out and be counted. Those who follow the crowd sooner or later get lost and fizzle out.

Men of purpose are those who refuse to go with the flow. Men of will are those who ultimately become standard for others to follow. Don’t leave the shores of this life in oblivion, unnoticed and uncelebrated. Dare to be different. You can never make a rank in the crowd. Abraham dared to be different. Joseph, Daniel, Martin Luther king jnr, Ghandi, Nelson Mandela, Chief  Obafemi  Awolowo  and a host of others dared to be different.
